The 2026 all-ages Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story, is here! The program runs from June 1 to August 15.
 
Read, log your reading, and complete fun activities to earn prizes. Plus, enjoy free weekly events at library branches throughout the program.
 
Registration is open!
Sign up online at Beanstack, then come to your local branch library to complete registration and select your free book.

June is Pride Month! During the month of June, we celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two-spirit, and other identities (LGBTQIA+) to honor the 1969 Stonewall uprising and the Gay Liberation Movement. Pride Month celebrates and uplifts the LGBTQIA+ community by commemorating their history, resiliency, and work to achieve equal rights. Please join us at our Yolo County Library branches for our Pride events.

Punks 'n Pronouns

Join us for our third annual punk show in the library! Punks N' Pronouns is a celebration of queer-punk solidarity and we'll be joined by bands from Nevada County, Davis, and Winters! Sounds will range from crustpunk metal growls to alt pop queer brainrot rock. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6:00 p.m. 
 
Free earplugs, zines, vintage pride buttons, and bookmarks will be available at the show.

TheArthur Wright Display June 1-July 31, 2026. Join us Sunday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. Array of bleach portraits including Frederick Douglass, Mary Ellen Pleasant, and Tina Turner.
Bay Area artist TheArthur Wright has art on display in the Blanchard Room of the Stephens-Davis Library throughout June and July. Wright uses the unique process of bleaching his art to make what he calls golden bleach paintings. His art can be found in the UN Building in San Francisco, in colleges and galleries around the world, and was featured in an Oprah Winfrey sponsored art show in Chicago.Join the artist for a talk on Sunday, June 21, 2:00 p.m. at the Stephens-Davis Library. His art can be viewed during the library’s open hours.
