Jamie comes to Yolo County Library with 19 years of public library leadership experience, including management, staff development, and systemwide operations. She has experience leading strategic planning efforts, supervising managers across multiple branches, overseeing HR processes, creating and updating policies, developing budgets, advancing equity-centered policies and staff development, and partnering with County administration, elected officials, Friends groups, and community organizations to align services with countywide goals. Jamie’s most recent position was as Deputy Director of Library Services: Public Services for Solano County Library. Prior to that, she worked as the Supervising Librarian in charge of Collections and Circulation with San Rafael Public Library for six years and as a Librarian II with Roseville Public Library for ten years. She has a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. Jamie’s professional leadership experience includes volunteering with the California Library Association, where she has served as a member of the Finance Committee for over four years and was Chair of the Membership Committee from 2016–2017. Jamie is passionate about the vital role libraries play in creating equitable, connected, and informed communities and looks forward to contributing to Yolo County Library’s mission of service and inclusion. |
