Come and celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with an author talk by two Latina YA authors: Sandra Proudman, editor of Relit: 16 Latinx Remixes of Classic Stories, and Angela Montoya, author of the romantic fantasy novel Sinner’s Isle.
 
Join these local authors as they discuss their work and inspirations, followed by a book signing.
 
Copies will be available for purchase.

This year, the theme is “Pastimes Preserved: Sports & Recreation in the Archives."
 
The Yolo County Archives will be at the Center for Sacramento History, displaying materials from the collection that highlight the history of bicycling in Yolo County.
 
Start the crawl at any of the four host institutions and take a free bus to visit the others.

Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month

Please join us in celebrating Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15 through October 15, 2024! This year, we are highlighting local and global Latinx artwork through displays and craft kits.

Local Latinx artwork from Yolo County by Taller Arte del Nuevo Amanecer (TANA) will be on display in Yolo County Library branches and Latinx-themed craft-to-go kits may be picked up at any Yolo County Library branch, while supplies last.

Latino/a Heritage Exhibition

September 15 - October 15

In honor of Latino/a Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15), the Yolo County Archives and Yolo County Supervisor Angel Barajas (District 5) have created an exhibit on the second floor of the Yolo County Administration Building.
 
This nationally recognized month provides dedicated time to honor and recognize the contributions of the Latino/a community, particularly farmworkers, leaders, and government officials in Yolo County.
