September is Library Card
Sign-up Month

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when Yolo County Library joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to encourage everyone, especially every child, to sign up for their very own library card.

Libraries have always encouraged lifelong learning, freedom to access information, to pursue one's passions, and more. Discover the benefits of a library card by signing up today!

In celebration of Library Card Sign-up Month, the Library is offering a scavenger hunt, coloring pages, and bookmarks! Stop at your local branch anytime this month to participate.

Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month

September 15 - October 15

Join us in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month! This year, Yolo County Library will highlight local and international Latinx artwork. Local artwork by artists of Taller Arte del Nuevo Amanecer (TANA) will be on display at select Yolo County Library branches. The mola artwork created by the Indigenous people of Panama will be featured in Latinx themed "craft-to-go" kits available at all Yolo County Library branches.

The "craft-to-go" kits will include crayons, a mola coloring sheet, a half sheet of black card stock, an information sheet about mola, instructions for the craft, and a reading list.

We look forward to celebrating Latinx Heritage Month with all of you here at Yolo County Library!
