Disability Pride is about accepting and honoring each person’s uniqueness as a natural and beautiful part of human diversity. This month, we recognize the historical significance of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was signed into law in July of 1990. The ADA has increased access and opportunity for people with disabilities in community life and employment and provides protection against discrimination.
