Clarksburg branch,Esparto Regional Library, Knights Landing branch, and Winters Community Library will be open Sunday, Sept. 4, and Monday, Sept. 5 from 1 pm - 5 pm. to act as Cooling Centers over Labor Day weekend.

Learning doesn't have to stop when you leave the classroom. The library's learning and research pages can help students of all ages find their groove again. Curated kits turn learning into an interactive adventure! Here's a small sample of the kits available:

Bilingual backpacks for the Spanish-speaking learner in your life, aged 0-8

Stem2Go kits for kids aged 8-13 who want to learn to code, build a robot, and more!

Discovery kits for teens and adults who wish to learn a new hobby

Mental health kits for adults looking to find relaxation amidst the back-to-school chaos

Banned Books Week, September 18-24, is an annual campaign to celebrate the freedom to read. In September, Yolo County Library branches will have a month-long display of challenged and banned books. Celebrate free access to information by checking out one of the books on display.

Let's celebrate! Play Library Bingo all month long by visiting any library front desk. Take our Library Card Comment Challenge by engaging with us on Facebook or Instagram September 7-14.

September is
Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when Yolo County Library joins American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide in an effort to ensure everyone, especially every child, signs up for their own library card.

While supplies last, all 2022 Summer Reading Program finishers are eligible to pick up their prize at any Library branch location through September 30.

Free flashlights, beach balls, and books are available to celebrate the successful completion of your summer reading goals. Or, choose to get rid of your existing library fines.

Tuesday-Thursday 9:30am-8pm
Friday-Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm
Sunday 1pm-5:30pm
