Visit Us at the Yolo County Fair!
This year's Yolo County Fair will take place from August 17-21, and we're excited to see you there! Yolo County Library staff will be in the children's tent. Stop by to enjoy some children's activities with the whole family.
Did you know that the site of the Yolo County Fairgrounds was once owned by a pioneer family whose innovative work helped to establish our county as the thriving agricultural center we know and love today? You can learn all about the Blowers family's work at the exhibit "Blowers: Fruit, Family, and Leadership in Farming" installed at the Yolo County Fair Museum throughout the course of the fair.
Presented by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office and the California Student Aid Commission, the Cash for College Workshop is for high school seniors, parents and guardians, emancipated minors, current and former foster youth, or new and returning college students of any age.
Taking place on August 9 @ 5:30 pm, this virtual event is focused on helping American Indian and Alaska Native students but is open to everyone, and will teach you everything you need to know about applying to college.
Summer may be coming to a close, but our Summer Reading Program doesn't end until August 15. There's still plenty of time to sign up!
Read, log your reading, and complete fun activities to earn points and win prizes.
Once you earn a total of 1000 points, visit your local library branch to claim your prizes. The more points you earn, the better chance you have of winning the Grand Prize Drawing!
